1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Terms of Use apply to the websites, articles, pages, and downloads provided by NoInkSoftware ("we," "us"), including the NoInkSoftware website, rmgeorge.com, and the pages where you sign up for free materials. By using any of them, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
2. Books and third-party stores
Our books, including The Vibe-Coder's Reality Check by R. M. George, are sold through third-party retailers such as Amazon. Your purchase is governed by that retailer's terms, not these. We don't control retailers' pricing, availability, or policies.
3. Free downloads, including the Pre-Flight Vibe Checklist
When you sign up for a free download, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal use. You may not copy it for distribution, resell it, post it online, share it in a group or community, or include it in other products or services. We keep all rights in it. If someone you know would like a copy, please point them to the signup page.
4. Information, not professional advice
Our books, articles, checklists, and other content are for general information about building software with AI tools. They are not professional, technical, security, legal, or financial advice. Software can fail or be attacked even when you follow good practices, and following our materials does not guarantee that your app will be secure, stable, or ready for real users. You are responsible for your own projects and for deciding when to get qualified professional help.
5. Emails
If you give us your email address, we may use it to send the material you requested and related updates about our work. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse our sites. That includes trying to break or overload them, accessing them without permission, using them to break the law, or submitting someone else's email address without their consent.
7. Intellectual property
All content on our sites, including text, designs, logos, and downloads, belongs to NoInkSoftware or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may share short quotations with credit, but you may not copy or reuse substantial portions without written permission.
8. Links to other sites
We may link to other websites, such as retailers and tools we use. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Our sites, downloads, and content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, NoInkSoftware will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our sites, downloads, or content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the item at issue. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. If we later offer software or paid products, additional terms may apply to them. Continuing to use our sites after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Placer County, California.
